Elbe Philharmonic, Hamburg, Germany

Elbe Philharmonic

Really weird here is that the new building forward-looking liquidy glass thingamajig and ancient buildings, it uses its podium: a stupid head stupid brain, the contrast between the workaday 1960s waterfront warehouse.
This odd couple, the unity of the Swiss-based company, Herzog & de Meuron and plan completed in 2012, will be a new cultural complex in Hamburg's harbor, with a public square on the roof of the old warehouse, hotel, apartments, and a crazy biomorphic Philharmonic Hall.
